Priyanka Chopra’s maiden production venture – Madamji – being directed by Madhur Bhandarkar – has been reportedly sidelined till April next year.

As per the news published in TOI, Priyanka, who is also playing a leading role in ‘Madamji’, was set to begin working on the film in November 2014. But that plan did not materialise as the actress had to allot 15 days from off Madamji’s share to shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

What more, now that the actress is almost done with shooting the major portions of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and she will be soon flying to the US for two months to fulfill the commitment she has done with American Broadcasting Company (ABC).

The newspaper also reports that Priyanka had proposed Madhur to at least shoot for a small part of ‘Madamji’ to begin with but the ‘Fashion’ director declined the suggestion saying he would rather prefer a non-stop shoot schedule for the film so that the pace of PeeCee’s character’s journey is not thrown into disarray. She is playing an item girl who goes on to become a popular political figure in the film.

Meanwhile, Madhur Bhandharkar has utilized his time well and is done with the shoot of his yet another sensational film, ‘Calendar Girls’. The film is slated to hit the theaters in the summer of 2015!
